Company History

Founded in 1990, The Peregrine Agency produced international meetings and events that supported our clients’ corporate vision and goals. The evolution of The Agency’s Strategic Event Alignment© methodology spans almost 20 years. The methodology grew out of our firm belief in two basic principles:

  1. Strategically aligned and measured meeting and event initiatives support an organization's business, marketing and communication goals.
  2. C-Suites and Senior Executives can achieve and measure their business goals more effectively and efficiently through event portfolio alignment.

Identifying the Need

In 1998, The Agency’s core business in event management was growing, while our Team’s productivity was decreasing due to ineffective and inefficient management of its large list of suppliers. An internal supplier analysis revealed that The Agency was missing its opportunity to leverage supplier spend volume.

Providing a Solution

In response to a growing need to more effectively align meetings and events to corporate goals, The Peregrine Agency developed The Key Supplier Programme and our first event portfolio alignment. Like anything new and different it was a tough sell to our Team, suppliers and external clients. Perseverance paid off when we introduced The Key Supplier Programme to a few of our long standing clients with two objectives in mind:  

Help our clients increase their meeting and event business value
Decrease meeting and event costs 

The transformation from event management to event portfolio alignment consultancy occurred as a result of our drive to help improve an organization’s performance and profitability.

The Road to Success

Given that the marketplace was unfamiliar with the concept of event portfolio alignment, one of our clients, a global pharmaceutical organization, believed in the potential for success and agreed to collaborate with us in an event portfolio alignment. The organization was able to harmonize events with their business goals and strategies, saw a marked improvement in their best practices and reduced their contractual risk.
